Sun Country Airlines Completes Atlantic and Pacific Flights

Sun Country Airlines today announced its successful first flights to London, England and Honolulu, Hawaii from the U.S. Mainland operating Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Sun Country operated the London flights in scheduled service along with charter service to Honolulu utilizing procedures and equipment specifically designated for Extended-range Twin-engine Operations Performance (ETOPs).

Sun Country Airlines to Begin Lansing Service

Sun Country Airlines announced plans for new non-stop domestic and international service from Lansing’s Capital Region International Airport. Sun Country partners with digEcor to offer In-flight Entertainment options

Sun Country Airlines will offer customers the use of personal entertainment systems through a partnership with digEcor, Inc., beginning this weekend with the launch of its inaugural flight between the Twin Cities and London. The digEplayer XT will be complimentary for all first-class travelers and will be available in coach-class for just $10. Each digEplayer will come preloaded with a selection of first-run movies including Avatar and Percy Jackson/The Lightning Thief as well as TV shows, music and games. Sun Country also plans to add the digEplayer XT on its Twin Cities-Anchorage, Alaska service and is evaluating the possibility of adding the devices across its entire system.

Sun Country Airlines Flies War Vets to D.C. to See Memorials

Sun Country Airlines partnered with Honor Flight Tri-State to fly WWII Veterans to Washington D.C. to give the honorees the opportunity to reflect and visit their memorials. Sun Country Flies Its First Pet!

On July 22, 2009, Sun Country started accepting cats and dogs as checked baggage on select flights. On August 4, 2009, Sun Country successfully flew its first pet as checked baggage! Save Time and Money With Pre-Paid Bag Fees

Save time and money with the convenience of paying for your checked baggage online. Checked baggage can be pre-paid for up to 24 hours prior to your flight. Unaccompanied minors and passengers traveling as a part of a group are not able to pre-pay for checked baggage and must pay for checked baggage at the terminal upon check-in. New UFlex Change Fee Protection

When you fly Sun Country, you can protect yourself from change fees with UFlex change fee protection. UFlex allows you to change the time, date, destination, and even the name on your reservation without paying the $75 (domestic) or $100 (international) change fee! Up to three change fees can be waived for UFlex ticket holders. For more information, click here.

Have your eye on a window seat or want to sit next to your traveling companion?

You can select your seats in advance for just $8.00 per person, per flight for Coach Class. For all international and Alaska flights, you may select a window/center seat for $8.00 or an aisle seat for $20.00 with Sun Country. Simply choose the select seat option when purchasing your flight or the “click here” button to select your seats if you’ve already purchased your flight. International seats can only be pre-reserved and purchased any time prior to 24 hours of departure or at the airport the day of departure during check-in.

Travel Insurance

Sun Country now offers travel insurance from TravelGuard. Available for purchase with airfare in one seamless transaction, travel insurance includes up to $800 for trip cancellation and/or interruption (under Gold plan), up to $500 for travel delays, up to $10,000 for medical expenses, and Travel Guard® Assist for emergency assistance anywhere in the world among other items. To better serve you, Sun Country accepts both cash and credit cards for items available for sale onboard our aircraft. Items available for sale onboard Sun Country flights include snacks, sandwiches, candy, premium beverages, space-available first-class upgrades, headphones, and pillow/blanket sets. Credit cards that are accepted include Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
