Inflight Experience > Minnesota music

Minnesota artists for your listening pleasure.
As the Hometown Airline, Sun Country is proud to support the Minnesota Music scene and feature local musicians in our entertainment program. Since the inception of our program in March of 2008, we have featured 24 gifted musicians in all genres of music through our inflight audio. Check out the new Minnesota musicians recently unveiled during Sun Country’s first ever CD Release Party on March 24th, 2009!

Keri Noble   ( http://kerinoble.com/)
Things are flying high in the wake of Keri’s self-titled release on Telarc records. Within the first two months of 2009 her song 'Emily' was used in Grey’s Anatomy, her new CD hit #20 on the iTunes Pop chart, and "Ooh Oh" was used in the CW's series Privileged. With this fourth release Keri’s voice is truly her own and she’s able to declare exactly who she is and what she’s about.

Romantica   ( http://www.romanticamusic.com/)
Romantica’s 2007 sophomore album 'America' has won numerous accolades, including two awards from the International Songwriting Competition. The Onion, Star Tribune, and City Pages have all called it one of the 'Best Local Albums of 2007.' Lush and subtle, 'America' is winning Romantica fans across the country. The band will be spending the spring recording a new album and touring the West Coast with Carrie Rodriguez.

Storyhill   ( http://www.redhouserecords.com/Storyhill.html)
"Their sound recalls the harmonious interplay of Simon and Garfunkel and the acoustic juice of the Indigo Girls" - Billboard Acoustic/pop duo Chris Cunningham and John Hermanson, Storyhill, began in Bozeman, Mont. performing together as teenagers. Most recently, Storyhill, enlisted the help of rock/pop songwriter and Grammy Award Winner Dan Wilson (Semisonic, Dixie Chicks, Trip Shakespeare) to produce their self-titled album, their first to be released on independent roots label Red House Records.

Lorie Line   ( http://lorieline.com/)
Lorie Line’s ability to play from any genre and create beautiful arrangements has earned her the reputation of "America’s Favorite Pianist". She has produced over 26 albums and sold more than 6 million copies. Her company is the largest woman-owned independent record label in the United States.

Rocket Club   ( http://www.rocketclub.info/)
True to its name, Rocket Club was formed based on a shared love and a common quest. Powered by three-part vocals and guided by solid songwriting and musicianship, the band's recently launched debut album pulls from a variety of different influences. Rocket Club is an assortment of hum-worthy hooks and story-telling-through-songwriting. It's a twist on America music.

John Trones   ( http://johntrones.com/)
John Trones is a Minneapolis based musician/actor and writer whose signature soulful crooning has won him accolades on both national and international concert tours over the past ten years. Having released four albums nationally on his own label, he is represented in Asia on the Universal label. Trones is currently recording his fifth album, co-produced with Grammy-nominated recording artist and pianist, Jim Brickman.
