Sun Country Extends Service to Washington, D.C. (Dulles)

St. Paul, MN – July 7, 2006

Sun Country Airlines has announced that it plans to continue service to Washington, D.C. (Dulles).  The airline had added the destination to its seasonal schedule in May, but based on a successful summer season Sun Country will add D.C. to its roster of cities served year-round.

“The D.C. route has exceeded our expectations,” said Shaun Nugent, CEO of Sun Country Airlines. “This is a great addition to our permanent schedule, and we anticipate the passenger loads will continue to be strong.”

Sun Country flies into Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C. with daily flights Sunday through Friday.  Fares continue to be lower than industry averages, with one-way prices starting around $100.

“We offer a superior product at a price point that is very competitive in the marketplace, and the response to our D.C. flights has indicated that,” said Nugent. “We will continue to offer this combination of value and convenience while adding frequency and destinations to our flight schedule.”

Sun Country Airlines is a low cost, low fare carrier based in St. Paul, MN. Sun Country, a privately held company, is following a conservative growth plan which will increase the frequency to its popular destinations such as New York, Dallas, Los Angeles, Orlando, Ft. Myers, Denver and Las Vegas. For a complete list of destinations and more information, please visit Sun Country's website at suncountry.com.
