St. Paul, MN – May 22, 2006

Sun Country Airlines has announced plans to begin service from Minneapolis/St. Paul to Washington, D.C. (Dulles International Airport). The airline will begin Sunday through Friday service on this popular route on May 22, 2006. The route, which Sun Country has flown in the past, is being added as a part of the airline’s growth strategy.

“Historically, Washington, D.C. has been a strong route for Sun Country,” said Shaun Nugent, CEO of Sun Country Airlines. “As we continue to grow, we are able to augment our current flight schedule with seasonal service to popular destinations like D.C. based on consumer demand.”

Sun Country’s service to Washington, D.C. is currently scheduled through September 2006.  “Our flights will be attractive for travelers to D.C. because of our lower than average fares. We expect that this route will attract new passengers to the airline,” said Jim Olsen, COO of Sun Country Airlines.
