Sun Country Airlines Introduces Self-Service Check-In Kiosks at the Humphrey Terminal
St. Paul, MN – June 28, 2006 Sun Country Airlines announced its self-service check-in kiosks at the Humphrey Terminal at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport today. The introduction of kiosks at the airline’s hub airport is the latest effort in Sun Country’s growth plan. “I am proud to offer these kiosks as an additional convenience for our passengers,” said Shaun Nugent, CEO of Sun Country. “The kiosks are a sign of Sun Country’s growth as an airline that serves all travel segments.” The kiosks allow passengers traveling to domestic destinations to avoid check-in lines by checking in themselves using automated touch-screens. Users simply insert valid identification to begin the check-in process, and receive a boarding pass print-out from the machine. Baggage can be checked using the kiosks as well. “We’ve made considerable effort to ensure that the kiosks are among the most user-friendly in the industry,” said Mark Ondrey, Information Technology Director of Sun Country. “Even those unfamiliar with the self-service check-in concept are able to use our kiosks with ease.” The airline will have employees available to assist those using the kiosks during the weeks after introduction. Sun Country Airlines is a low cost, low fare carrier based in St. Paul, MN. Sun Country, a privately held company, is following a conservative growth plan to its popular destinations such as Phoenix, Dallas, Los Angeles, Orlando, Ft. Myers, Denver, Las Vegas and Washington, D.C. For a complete list of destinations and more information, please visit Sun Country's website at suncountry.com.
