Sun Country Airlines Moves to Terminal 4 at New York (JFK)

St. Paul, MN – August 30, 2006

Sun Country Airlines announced today that it will move to Terminal 4 at New York (JFK).  The airline had previously operated out of Terminal 3 at this airport.

“We’re excited to make the move to Terminal 4 where our customers will enjoy a modern, efficient and passenger-friendly terminal,” said Jim Olsen, COO of Sun Country Airlines. “In addition, the move to Terminal 4 will enable us to continue to grow in the future.”

Opened in May 2001, Terminal 4 is the only privately-operated facility at JFK International Airport offering its airline partners numerous operating efficiencies and enabling passengers to recapture the excitement and comfort of air travel.  Operated by JFK IAT, LLC, Terminal 4 provides its airline partners with minimal operational constraints, ample gate space for long-haul planes and expandable/hardstand parking. In addition, at Terminal 4, airlines can benefit from superior passenger handling, competition among vendors such as ground handlers that keeps costs down and service levels high, and the building’s 24/7 operation.

“By moving to Terminal 4, Sun Country will benefit from our commitment to customer service and to a high level of passenger efficiency. Here, Sun Country customers will be provided the best travel experience possible.  Passengers can take advantage of our relatively short security wait times and vast array of shops and restaurants,” said Henk Guitjens, chief marketing officer for JFK IAT, LLC, which operates Terminal 4.

Sun Country Airlines is a low cost, low fare carrier based in St. Paul, MN and was ranked #3 on the list of domestic airlines in Travel+Leisure’s 2006 World’s Best Awards. Sun Country, a privately held company, is following a conservative growth plan which will increase the frequency to its popular destinations such as Phoenix, Dallas, Los Angeles, Orlando, Ft. Myers, Denver, Las Vegas and Washington, D.C. For a complete list of destinations and more information, please visit Sun Country's website at suncountry.com.
