Travelers should arrive at the CUN ticket counter two hours prior to scheduled departure with proper identification to allow for check-in requirements and security processing.

U.S. and Canadian citizens must have a valid passport. U.S. and Canadian passports in good condition must be valid for the duration of the passenger’s stay in Mexico. The U.S. Department of State recommends that passports be valid for at least six months after the expected return date. Passport cards are not accepted for air travel to Mexico.

Transfers between the airport and resorts are included with Sun Country Vacations packages. For travel outside of your resort, the best way to get around is by taxi or bus. There is also a bicycle and walking path. A car is not recommended. In the Riviera Maya, distances are great between resorts and towns. If you do want to go into town, a taxi is your best option, or check with your hotel concierge. For a day trip, either sign up for a tour, or rent a car for the day. The main road from Cancun to the Riviera Maya is a modern, four-lane highway.
