Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco is the same as Central Time in the U.S. Riviera Nayarit, which is located across the river in the state of Nayarit technically is considered Mountain Time, yet all resorts abide by Central Time as the PVR Airport is on Central Time.
Transfers between the airport and resorts are included with Sun Country Vacations packages. Taxis are easy to find in Puerto Vallarta and near the resorts and towns in Riviera Nayarit. There is also a bus route that runs all the way from Nayarit and the Marina area to the Romantic Zone.
U.S. and Canadian citizens must have a valid passport. U.S. and Canadian passports in good condition must be valid for the duration of the passenger’s stay in Mexico. The U.S. Department of State recommends that passports be valid for at least six months after the expected return date. Passport cards are not accepted for air travel to Mexico.
Entry Immigration Form
U.S. and Canadian citizens traveling to Mexico must fill out an official entry immigration form prior to their arrival. Forms are available during the flight, however, to expedite the immigration entry process, you can now complete the form online and print it prior to travel.
